How are there only two reviews for Goodcents (the Mr. was recently removed from the name)? Perfect location in the heart of Brookside, and street parking makes it super quick to get in and out. Service is always prompt and friendly. The chocolate chip cookies are insanely good. I do wish the sold a 6 inch sandwich as often 8 inches is more than I need but the 4 inch is a bit small and at only $1 less than the 8 inch is a bit of a rip off. The novelty of the new Coke Freestyle machine is nice, but my last time there the diet sweetner want out and no one could figure out how to replace it.

We love this Mr. Goodcents. The food has been fresh every time we've eaten here. The people are friendly, the restaurant is clean, and it's spacious enough inside so that it's never too crowded. The location is great too, located in Brookside amid rows of local shops and safe neighborhoods should you want to go for a healthy walk after your meal. There's also plenty of our parking outside.

This is a very nifty and "safe" (i.e., not feeling exotic-foods, just wanting a sub kinda day) place to go eat if you're walking around Brookside. I haven't had their chicken alfredo pasta since last year...and I'll probably be keeping it that way after this experience. I am a sucker for alfredo pastas, so I couldn't resist having it again. When I got my order, it came with some garlic bread that I devoured immediately (did not remember having that last time). My rating is pretty much synonymous with what my pasta tasted like: A-OK. I wasn't blown away; the pasta was still a bit hard and could've been cooked longer, and the alfredo sauce was super bland. It definitely fills you up though, which is a plus if you'll be walking more around the area. I really only went to this place due to its location and familiarity. I haven't been down to Brookside too often and will definitely be exploring this area much more often in the near future--hopefully I will stumble upon much more exciting and tasty places than Goodcents!

Goodcents makes a good sub that you can find all around KC. I've always been a fan because they don't skimp on the meat, the price is right, and it's relatively calorie friendly. However, this is also the kind of spot that I can go a year plus without even thinking of because it's not all the spectacular. It's just a good all-around sandwich that blows the yellow-colored sandwich chain out of the water. I got the roast beef on wheat with yellow mustard, light mayo, standard dress and jalapenos and it was made perfectly. They take the time at the Brookside location to actually make sure the sandwich holds together well. Other locations, like the one on 87th by SM West does a crap-tac-ular job of putting it together. They've also got pastas, but every time I go there I go with the sandwiches. Good lunch spot to-go, convenient location, and a good sub that won't quite blow your socks off.

I stopped by here for a sandwich after doing some shopping in the Brookside area. I was the only customer in the building and I remember thinking that everything seemed extra clean. I chatted with the sandwich maker about Colorado as she made my Penny club with Swiss. The volume was at the perfect volume and their high-tech soda machine was working. Bathrooms were clean, My Penny club tasted the same as it does at any other location: delicious!

I usually don't pimp out chains, especially fast food ones. But my god, is there ANYTHING better than Mr Goodcents? The only thing that MIGHT be better than Mr Goodcents would be a rescued puppy from a no-kill shelter with a name like "Freedom" or "America". Since Yelp is not in the business of reviewing puppies (no matter how cute and smushable their puppy faces are), Mr Goodcents, I'm declaring you as good as it gets. 5 stars! Goodcents sandwiches are just leaps and bounds above all of the other chains. The bread is always so soft. They have a pretty solid number of meats, cheeses and vegetables. This bevy of options is wasted on me though, because I always *ALWAYS* get the same thing: 12 inch Penny Club (ham, turkey, roast beef) on wheat, with provolone, spicy mustard, mayo, lettuce, onion, salt, pepper and oregano. I pair it with a Coke Zero, and I'm in sandwich heaven. Now, this praise unfortunately cannot be granted to ALL locations of Mr Goodcents, as in the past I've been burned by shoddy franchises. But the Brookside location is tops. The staff is swift and friendly, the tables are clean, and it's in a great location. It's nice and open and sunny, and one of those fun triangle shaped buildings. Personally, I enjoy eating in triangles. Anyway, moral of the story: Not as great as America the puppy, but more edible. Friendly people who make you good sandwiches, all while inside a triangle. 5 stars!

I don't frequent a lot of delis because I often find myself feeling resentment at being asked to pay someone to make me a sandwich. However, Mr. Goodcents is a fine deli! They have a good selection of meats, cheeses and dressings. Mr. Goodcents is much better than Subway, particularly because of the cheeses and dressings. I like a simple roast beef with mozzarella and a whole lot of dressings (lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, black olives, mustard, oil and vinegar, etc.); if you're going to buy a sandwich, it might as well have enough on it that replicating it at home is not worth the effort. The sizes of sandwiches are also much better than those of Subway (instead of only a choice between a six-inch or foot-long sandwich, Mr. Goodcents offers four-inch increments, which is much better, as anyone who has compared eight-inches of sandwich to six-inches of sandwich can tell you!). If you want a something that is better than fast food and leaves you feeling satisfied the way only a sandwich can (maybe as a meal with chips and a soda pop), Mr. Goodcents is your next stop for a quick and easy lunch!

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
